In the 2019-20 State Budget, the Victorian Government allocated $243,000 for an extension of the Barwon Heads 13th Beach Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC).
Situated in the local government area of City of Greater Geelong, Barwon Heads 13th Beach SLSC was founded in 1961 and has played an important role in ensuring safety of local swimmers at 13th Beach. Dating back to the early 1980s, Barwon Heads 13th Beach SLSC also has a proud history in participating in Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) competitions.
Consultations are taking place in collaboration with the City of Greater Geelong and Barwon Heads 13th Beach SLSC to ensure the extension meets the needs of the growing local community, now and into the future.
