As part of the Victorian Government's $167.83 million investment in Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) facility infrastructure, a new VICSES Aintree Unit was delivered for the local government area of Melton.
Population growth is predicted to increase by 121 per cent by 2030, placing increased pressure on local units to respond effectively to the local community and continue to assist Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and fire services throughout the state.
The new fit-for-purpose facility reflects VICSES' commitment and dedication to the local community and enable an expansion of local services, while supporting the retention and recruitment of new volunteers.
In collaboration with VICSES, considerable consultation took place with the Aintree Unit, as well as the local council, affected parties and the local community (as required), to ensure that the new location meets the needs of a growing community, now and into the future.
