We’re delivering a new emergency services hub to support the critical work of the Rochester Victoria State Emergency Service (VISES) and Country Fire Authority (CFA).
Rochester was affected by severe flooding in late October 2022. These floods inundated the local CFA and VICSES facilities, and they were deemed uninhabitable along with 85% of the residential properties in the town.
During the disaster, the local CFA and VICSES volunteers were crucial to their community, responding to nearly 500 Requests for Assistance (RFA’s) during the emergency.
In planning and constructing this facility, it will deliver a co-located hub for both agencies which will support shared facilities for volunteers and their appliances.
