We’re delivering a new emergency services hub to support the critical work of the Heathcote Victoria State Emergency Service (VISES) and Country Fire Authority (CFA).
Heathcote was affected by severe flooding in late October 2022. These floods inundated the local VICSES facility, and it was deemed uninhabitable.
During the disaster, the local CFA unit opened its doors and incorporated the VICSES members into its facility, allowing emergency response and recovery operations to continue while the VICSES facility was out of commission.
In planning and constructing this facility, it will deliver a co-located hub for both agencies which will support shared facilities for volunteers and their appliances.
