CSBA is comprised of the following work areas:

Office of the Chief Executive Officer
The Office of the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for setting the strategic agenda for CSBA, coordinating and assisting the leadership team, overseeing the delivery of our projects, bringing together risk and business continuity activities, and supporting the Deputy Secretary, Corporate Services and Infrastructure, and decision makers and stakeholders across the Department of Justice and Community Safety.

Commercial, Legal and Procurement (CL&P)

CL&P provides commercial, legal and procurement advice to project teams across CSBA. The team is also responsible for liaising with relevant areas across DJCS, to ensure projects teams have the advice and input they need to progress their projects.

Prison Infill and Expansion

The PIE team is responsible for the $754.01 million Men’s Prison System Capacity (state-wide) initiative. This program of works will deliver 660 new beds at Barwon Prison, Marngoneet Correctional Centre, Middleton Annexe, Hopkins Correctional Centre and the Metropolitan Remand Centre. 

Program Delivery
The Program Delivery unit is responsible for the development and delivery of new build, expansion and upgrade projects for groups across the justice portfolio, including developing new capital projects.

Fire and Emergency Services

The Fire and Emergency Services teams work with a range of stakeholders to deliver new facilities for the CFA, and VICSES. The Emergency Services team also assists with the delivery of new Life Saving Victoria Surf Life Saving Clubs and Marine Search and Rescue vessels.

Health and Safety

The Health and Safety team is responsible for ensuring high-quality occupational health and safety standards across our projects. This involves working with our clients, construction contractors, subcontractors, professional services firms and WorkCover, to ensure our projects are safe for workers and visitors
